As you know we had a long weekend and if you are from Boston it was a good weekend for our home town sports. The Bruins kicked it off with a 3-1 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets, although they haven't been a very tough opponent in the past they held their own but the Bruins are just too good. So we took the win. The bruins next opponent new division rivals the Detroit Red Wings, as many expected it was a great game, the B 's trailed 3-1 late in the 3rd period but Lucic's goal gave them life, but it just wasn't enough to stop the Red Wings with stealing it from us. The red sox started their ALCS this weekend and game 1 was a hard fought disappointing loss, but that didn't stop us we kept out heads high and played great the next day in game 2. we were down late but Big Papi's grand slam homeroom tied up the game and gave us enough momentum to score 1 more run and steal the game to tie it up at 1 a piece. Next we have the New England Patriots, they had their toughest opponent yet battling the New Orleans Saints, it was a pretty even game but late in the 4th the saints got a field goal to tie it up then they got another one to go ahead by 3. There was less that 2 minutes left when Brady got the ball but he threw a pic many people thought it was over but our D was able to stop them and and with under 45 seconds to go the game is in the hands of Tom Brady. He marched us down field and with 5 seconds left he threw it deep in to the end zone and Thompkins went up and caught the game winning touch down, what a great moment in football and even better for Boston sports fans.
